At least, that's what it felt like when I jumped and screamed in my seat.
Just saw "Life of Pi" at the Capitol Theatre and was blown away. Brought back all the memories of reading the novel a couple years ago and it did so with such beauty, my jaw dropped several times. The actor who played Pi did such an awesome job, I was so impressed. I can't imagine what it would have been like to pretend surviving a sunken ship accident with a few other animals! Unbelievable!
I would highly recommend watching it if you were a fan of the novel. Simply amazing. Definitely got teary eyed at the end.

Letter from Jean, 8 years old, to Jean, now.
Dear older me,The above was an assignment that I registered for with http://www.sketchbookproject.com
I hope you are still alive. I want to be a firefighter when I am older and I want to be doing that for a while, so it would be too bad if you were dead. But mommy and daddy say that is a risk of being a firefighter. They get to save people from fires and sometimes cats from trees. Why do cats climb trees, anyway? That seems silly. They should just stay up there. I like dogs better, anyway.
Are there any new Mario games now? What about Zelda games? I really love playing video games and wonder if you do, too. Mario is my favourite. I really love it when he rides the Yoshis. I especially love it when Yoshi eats the shiny turtles and he has all the powers like flying and fire breathing. The stomping is dumb though. I think they could have done something different with the yellow turtle.
Anyway, I really love pizza and hope you do too. I love hawaiian! Pineapples are the best. But the cheese is the best part! The doctor says I can’t have milk... I don’t know what he’s talking about. It tastes amazing!

Kind of weird thinking of past me writing to now me. Boy, did I let him down on the firefighter front. Haha!
